MONO NO AWARE is a cinema-arts non-profit established in 2007. The organization offers year-round affordable workshops in traditional film making taught on Super 8mm, 16mm and 35mm motion picture film. To support continued practice, MONO rents equipment, imports and distributes short ends of a variety of film stocks. MONO presents monthly artist-in-person screenings and an annual exhibition of expanded cinema each winter. Devoted to film-makers and artists of the moving image, MONO maintains a reference library, dry/wet-lab facilities for photo-chemical film and offers production support for special projects.
